Jin practices his form daily...it's a necessity when traveling with a battle-hungry savage like Mugen.
I was just trying different poses with the shiny swords of awesome I got to borrow. And no, I have never done Kendo at all, so if I'm doing something wrong I am completely unaware...and would not mind critique in order to improve my portrayal. Not much else to say about it.
I tried Kendo once. But the guy who taught me had no fingers and no toes so him touching me to improve my form caused much awkwardness.
He also yelled a lot.
Anyways, sorry I can't help. Samurai Champloo really isn't too accurate with their battle stances either. You did a nice job here. I really like the line your body makes.
I actually think of better poses when I interact with other cosplayers. Plus I was just borrowing the swords...and they're metal so aren't allowed at conventions.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
